This page says what Teko was built for and — more importantly — what it was not built for.
Healthy adults aged 18 and over who train for running and general fitness recreationally. Teko was not designed for athletes in rehabilitation, for pregnant people, for people with cardiovascular or metabolic conditions under medical follow-up, or for use under prescription.
If you have persistent pain, a recent injury or any health condition, see a professional before following any suggestion from the app.
Training is built by Teko's engine, which works from deterministic physiological safety rules: load progression limits, the relationship between recent and habitual effort, routine variation, and the signals you report (pain, fatigue, sleep, energy). When those limits are reached the engine reduces or refuses the session — that decision is not an AI opinion, it is a fixed and auditable rule.
Suggestions come from what you record. If the data is sparse or inaccurate, so are the recommendations — and the app indicates when it is estimating rather than measuring.
Without a dedicated sensor, several metrics are estimates: calories, effort, predicted pace, body composition. Teko presents them as estimates, never as clinical measurements.
Teko's assistant explains and converses; it does not decide your training. Details and limits in Teko Intelligence.
